Who we are

This site is operated by Crimson Ink Adventures, LLC, doing business as Monarch & Marigold Co. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “our,” it means Crimson Ink Adventures, LLC.

What we collect

When you visit the site. Your device and browser type, IP address, time zone, pages viewed, referring site, and how you interact with the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

When you place an order. Your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number if you provide it, and payment information. Payment card details are processed by our payment providers and are not stored by us.

When you join our email list. Your email address, and your first name if you choose to give it.

When you contact us. Whatever you include in your message.

When you submit a review or comment. Your name as you provide it and the content of your submission.

How we use it

We use this information to fulfill and ship your orders, to communicate with you about your order, to send you the free chapters and any emails you signed up for, to answer your questions, to improve the site, and to detect fraud.

If you have joined our email list, we will send you occasional notes about the novel, the collections, and the journeys. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run this business:

• Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders
• Klaviyo, which manages our email list and sends our emails
• Branvas, our jewelry fulfillment partner, which receives the shipping information needed to send your order
• Payment processors, including Shopify Payments, PayPal, and Apple Pay, which process transactions
• Shipping carriers, which receive the address information needed to deliver your order
• Google Workspace, which hosts our email

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party links and affiliate partners

Our Journeys pages include links to third-party travel booking platforms, including GetYourGuide and Viator. Some are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you book through them, at no cost to you.

When you follow one of these links you leave our site, and the third party’s own privacy policy applies. We do not receive your personal information from those bookings, only anonymous confirmation that a booking occurred.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart working, to remember your preferences, and to understand how the site is used. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to ask us not to sell or share it. We do not sell personal information.

To make any of these requests, write to us at support@monarchandmarigold.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We keep email list information until you unsubscribe.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
